Every year, WIRES receives thousands of calls for advice concerning interactions between domestic pets and native animals. Sadly, this is a common cause of injury in suburban areas and if the injured native animal is not immediately taken to receive veterinary care, the consequences can be fatal. Luckily, there are some precautions that can be taken to help minimise the risks of wildlife being injured, and to avoid unpleasant situations for your family pet. WIRES have many initiatives including National Grants, Emergency funding, Landcare Alliance, Specialised projects (more recently Koalas and Native Animal Disease Research), Conservation projects and the Water for Wildlife initiative.
Through social media, there is even more visibility with the reality that cat rescue groups are facing. As a charity, cat rescue groups depend on community support to cover the costs of running the rescue. The costs include professional care and advisory staff; veterinary expenses including health checks, desexing and any necessary treatments or surgery; vaccinations; microchips; kitty litter as well as costs to promote their adoptions and welfare work plus administration costs.
Cat Harness Australia makes regular donations to a variety of cat rescue groups within Australia. We also exclusively wholesale to rescue groups and small businesses. By rescue groups having being a stockist of our products, their profit allows them fund the costs of their rescue.

Had it about a month now, my shelter cat took to it straight away with no issues. Probably a bit early to say whether or not it's better than the plastic litter tray I was using beforehand but it certainly looks better. It's a great size for my medium sized cat and the high sides prevent her from kicking up litter everywhere. The litter step is a little small/only covers a small area, so I use her old litter mat to capture any litter that gets outside the box. I like the addition of a litter scoop and holder, though I use my old scoop since it's bigger. Bit expensive but hard to find in NZ, and as long as it lasts a long time then it will be worth it - I'll be comparing to the spare plastic tray she also has!
This litter tray is awesome. There is little to no mess, which means next to NO tracking. Our puss enters the tray, digs, does her 'business', but then jumps up on top of the litter tray and starts the motions of covering it up...of course this doesn't work. Not sure why she does this.
I have a 4month old girl kitty, I took the lid off so it wasn't so big to her & she loves it & used it straight away. It's deep enough for a kitten to feel safe to do her business. Scoop & holder is very neat & practical.
Our cats were having some trouble with their litter box situation so I quickly went to order this one. I reached out to the customer service team since I needed it quickly and they were very responsive and filled my order asap. The litter box came and it was perfect and exactly what we ordered. It has solved our litter box isssues and our cats use it reliably every time.
