So I made sure to get the cats well and truly used to the harness before attaching a lead, and still the both of them freaked out with this lead. I actually think it was the noise of it unwinding and retracting, not so much the pressure on them, because it applies hardly any pressure at all, which is amazing for lightweight cats. As great as the lead is though, I found the cats were more comfortable with a 5 metre long lead trailing behind them, where I was just holding the end and untangling as they explored slowly. We are still practising though, and today after the 6th time attaching the lead my most flighty cat she seemed calm with it. As always, I gave her lick treats while gently unwinding and retracting. If they ever want to explore faster this lead would be great, but for now I reckon we'll stick to the long loose lead.
I love the locking feature and I can fit my fingers comfortably in the leash. I also love the locking mechanism, it helps me a lot walking my cat!
Good quality and comfortable grip lead. Having the locking mechanism is nice when you want to just let your cat wander and give them some space to do so. Our previous lead was really short so you were basically on top of them the entire time. Much nicer to have a decent length.

The clip and lead are very lightweight which is ideal for walking our kitten. I just wish it didn't retract every time the lead is lengthened.

The lead handle is a great grip for my 9yo to handle. It also gives ‘Pixie’ a great range of lead to roam & the clip to d-ring on harness is very strong..it’s been tested !
It's great, except for the retract function is annoying sometimes. Would be easier if it didn't need to retract every time you want to lengthen the cord, otherwise it's good quality and strong. 👍
I was hesitant before purchasing this type of lead however it works well with the Catventure Harness and has made training my 9 year old adopted Bengal a n easy enjoyable experience for us both.
Good but I wish there was a way to quickly retract if needed
absolutely amazing would recommend 10 out of 10 every time to anyone and everyone because it’s amazing allow my cat to go out for a walk and run like crazy and with the 5 m in length it gives me great comfort knowing that my cat can go outside and run crazy without pulling my arm off. Other brains. Come know when you this or have even touch the space properly they would rather do dogs. They forget about the cats too.
