I have recently brought a new kitten home and wanted to teach home to walk on a harness and leash so we can have quality time together outside. After a lot of research I have decided to go with the catventure harness and couldn’t be happier. My boy picked up the idea almost immediately and is happy for me to “dress him” when it’s time to go outside. Even though I purchased the extra small size it is still a little big for him and he does take a few minutes to acclimate to wearing it and is a bit wobbly at first but then he is off and ready to explore. We have not left our enclosed yard as yet as he is still learning but he is very comfortable in the harness and is happy to have it on. I will definitely be purchasing another in a larger size when he out grows this one.

My boy Ted is far too naughty to be out on his own and gets very depressed being in his (amazing) enclosure all the time. This harness has changed his life, I can take him out for a walk where he can sniff and explore his surroundings safely without the worry of him escaping. Ted says thank you very much kind humans!

I'm not sure that my adult rescue cat will ever be harness ready, it will be a low moving ongoing process and we're not even at the actual trying the harness on stage!! But I can say I was impressed with the quality of the harness, it's light and well made. I went with the training bundle, I knew my cat would be resistant (she does not like to be restrained in anyway or form) and so this seemed like a great opportunity to seek advice. And what a great idea - Mel was phenomenal. Our 90minute Zoom flew by, she's just such a lovely person and was sensitive to our situation - also got to e-meet some of her own Tuxedo-wearing furry friends! I will be taking up other training opportunities with Mel and am grateful to have stumbled upon cat harness Australia, you can tell they all genuinely care.
Unfortunately this harness didn't live up to its advertised expectations, as my Mr Houdini managed to get his way out of it after being spooked on a walk.
Luckily, we were just in the backyard, and he didn't run far, but I was left holding a lead with attached harness without a cat after Mr Houdini took a run for it and managed to escape without the velcro straps coming apart.
Despite being sold on the high hopes for this harness, and it not being an issue on previous, less scary walks, I'm not sure can risk putting the Canventure harness on Mr Houdini again.

From the photo, it looks like the harness fit nicely around his body, though it’s important to make sure the neck area is done up quite snug so cats can’t slip their heads through if startled. Some cats with smaller or more tapered head shapes can unfortunately be tricky to fit, as they can sometimes slip out of almost any harness.

Kitty was already harness trained and she took to her new harness instantly. Lovely colour and glad I waited as this colour is 😍. Comfy soft fabric allows kitty movement freely.
After contemplating for a while, I finally ordered it for my 10 month old kitten. It is worth every cent! Very secure, took a while for my kitten to get used to it but eventually, he got comfortable in it. Now, I can confidently walk him without worrying whether he’d escape 🩵 the size guide on the website was very helpful in helping us pick the right harness size. Can’t recommend it enough
My 6 month old Maine Coon easily gets out of this harness. It is well fitting, and he is used to it, but when on the lead he need to be in front with tension on the lead from behind. If he feels any kind of tension on the lead from in front of him, he panics and gets out of it in a flash.

I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews. My 5 month old rag doll escapes every time whether I tighten or loosen to make it comfortable for her. Neck band is too wide and fabric slips and slides as she walks. It looks like something I could've made in home economics in year 6. Sorry but way overpriced, should've bought a cheap one instead

I have bought two from catventure, one from when she was a baby (8 weeks) and one just before she turned 12months old paired with the retractable leash to let her explore to her hearts content, but also being in control for safety.

My cat Toulouse has had Catventure Harnesses since he was a kitten and his second Catventure harness ended up with a fault after a short amount of use.
After emailing about this with photos to the Catventure team, the response was swift and exceptional, with a replacement immediately offered to replace the faulty item.

Gives an indoor cat freedom to explore the garden.
While Margot was young and getting used to being on the harness I used a short leash but now as she is used to being in the harness I use a retractable leash.

My little baby, 6 months old, is now completely harness trained!! We started out using a kitten harness from PetBarn but she always looked so uncomfortable… so when the CatVenture harness popped up I bought the smallest one available at the time (not the kitten one) yet she grew into it pretty quickly!!!! And now!! She loves it, knows she’s getting outside time when I get it out and she just explores. Such a good harness
I love these harnesses and I'm aming to get one in every colour for my boy because they are just awesome, he is so comfortable in these harnesses and he loves his walks.
This harness is absolutely amazing. It is indeed escape proof. Snow loves to go out on our regular walks. I was blessed that I didn't have to train him at all as he took to the harness straight away and walked straight outside like a professional. One thing I do want to mention is that initially I bought the large size according to his measurements and weight (6kg). I found after a few walks that the harness was not snug enough, so I purchased the medium size and it is a perfect fit. Thank you Catventure for a brilliant design.

I was very happy with the quality of the harness and leash when it arrived and was keen to try it out with my cat. After 3 days of use my cat was able to wiggle and escape out of the harness in multiple directions. I had used the size guide and wrapped the harness at snug as possible but sadly have no use for it anymore.

Great little clicker, works well and the wrist strap is very handy when juggling clicker, treats and target stick. My cat really seems to respond to the sound. The cat's paw shape is cute too.
